Dum Dum is a place of North 24 Parganas in  west bengal under KOLKATA METROPOLITAN AREA. The  major place is situated at Eastern India.

DUM DUM AIRPORT

In the year 1757 with permission of Nawab of Bengal ,Dum  Dum Cantonment established by British, it is the place where they hanged MANGAL PANDEY the hero of SIPAHI BIDROHO happened in the year 1857.

It is the home place of Jeshop and company and HMV SAREGAMA.

Dum Dum has every major transport station like Kolkata Airport(Renamed  Netaji Subhash Airport) and also the 1st Metro rail station of INDIA DUM DUM METRO STATION SITUATED here. It also has major railway junction station like DUMDUM JANCTION which is a CONNECTOR of EAST INDIA with REST OF INDIA.

 It is also a pace which covered with 3 municipal area SOUTH DUM DUM, NORTH DUMDUM DUM, and DUM DUM MUNICIPALITY.

Dum Dum is a major town or u can say it is a small and populated city which is always under cover of KOLKATA the big metro city.
